If you work on many DAM/QUICK reels, a one ton press would be a good investment.
Bearings come right out and go back in with no banging anywhere.

By the way, I direct all Dam/Quick Reel to Fred, but every once in a while someone adds one in my box so I just do it.

Not arguing with anyone, the tool I'm showing above, when using the extension that comes with, you will not find a better tool for the rotor nut for most spinners.
Very important, any other tool will cause damage to the lip of the rotor.

Forget about all the reasons why something may not work. You only need to find one good reason why it will.

Sal, that's a great showing of a tool with a "best" application, or else you may bugger up a fine 50 yo reel. I have some stuff of my great- and grandfathers from when they were contractors, that I've been meaning to post up. There's a box of rachets and sockets that I cannot lift with one arm- and I'm 250. I was told they are for tractors but I hope to not have a use for them lol. They would fit a size 80,000 Quick rotor nut :)
