I caught giant using the rod holder like with Wicked Tuna style, but it is no fun at all. Smiley

That's how we sometimes reel in big halibut in Alaska. Let Mr. Rod Holder do most of the work as the boat rocks. When you're winching in a barn door, sometimes it's best to let someone else do the heavy lifting!

Great fish Kil.
Interesting to see how the Black Magic Equalizer was used with a strap around the reel seat.
I have that exact gimbal/belt set up, but never thought of using it with my Jigging Master.
Thanks for sharing.
Looks like I'll be in the market for a Black Hole rod pretty soon!
