I've been attempting to look at options to replace the folding handle on my daiwa ss700 reel with something a bit more robust.

And while I've seen a million hex shaft style handle listings while searching for other stuff, now that I search for hex shaft handle I'm getting only a handful of results. Leading me to think I'm using the wrong search terms.

Is there a more commonly used description for that style of  handle that I could search for to get more results? I'm feeling like a dummy here, which usually means i need to ask someone smarter. And here we are.
Any machine is a smoke machine if you use it wrong enough.

#1
trial & error -- nobody specifies dimensions of their through-gear shafts,
or even, whether they are hexagonal or square

I know for a fact, that Okuma older hex shafts fit a Shimano 80's gear,
dead on as far as diameter, but then you still have to match length
(can't imagine cutting & re-tapping a shaft)

use any smaller, older Okuma handle to see if it fits you gear ID, PRECISELY!!! & measure your shaft length
I have a spare Okuma OLD! Aveon/V-System 15/20/30-size handle (this is the ONLY folding mechanism I actually like)
but that's so robust & heavy, it's downright asinine on 15-size & merely slightly stupid on the 20
never played w/ Okuma 10-size -- don't know what's downsized & how

P.S. checked some budget PRC Quantum, Abu, Shakes...
all seem to use same hex diameter/cross-section
just have to find right length & collar diameter (measure that, too)
