Hi folks !

Does anyone know what type of stainless screws they use in fishingreels from factory ? Is it A2 (304) or A4 (316) ? I've never thought of it before and always try to find screws in A4 quality. But it seems that its easier to find small screws in A2 quality than A4. Whats your thoughts ?

Thanks RowdyW !

304 makes it a bit easier to buy small screws  :)

316 (A4) is generally considered marine grade. The cost difference is small so for a reel used in salt water I would go with that when available. However if all you can find is 304 it's not a deal breaker.

even 18-8 is better than high carbon steel.   :-\
