Awesome, now that is an acceptable reason for not setting them out, they would have been gone in a heartbeat and nothing left for your most deserving hard working firefighters.  I'm sure they appreciated them.

I would love to see a better picture of the "sole" but I'm pretty sure it is a petrale although I'm familiar with the 16 or so species of flat fish here in BC there may be some different species in Cali. The one thing they have in common is being very tasty.

If Dominick does not want to make the 3 hr. drive to Morro Bay...

I VOTE to make YOU the Club House Chef!!!

Already your BBQ Grill'n of the Tri-Tip Roasts are legendary!!!!

I've ONLY used Petrale Sole for BAIT for monster Ling Cod.

Maybe I'll learn how to fillet them and enjoy them as I do with Rockfish.

Wayne

Never let the skinny guys make the sandwiches!!  NEVER!!!!

Super fun trip  !
A whole different kind of trip with the Skipper putting a lot of faith in us as a group when he went in close .
We stood the test and showed what the Tani Ohana can do in shallow , kelp filled water  .
Once again a big thanks to Alan and his folks for the clubhouse !
There is nothing like lying flat on your back on the deck, alone except for the helmsman aft at the wheel, silence except for the lapping of the sea against the side of the ship. At that time you can be equal to Ulysses and brother to him.
