My Okuma cv30's have gone a chalky grey over the years. Can they be polished back to life? If so how would I go about it?

I found rubbing in superlube grease which is a teflon grease works well. Rub it in. Let it sit for a short time then buff with a rag. Not permanent but last quite a while.
You know that moment when your steak is on the grill and you can already feel your mouth watering.
Do vegans feel the same when mowing the lawn?
