Pj, I fished on the full day Liberty today chasing the foamer bluefin offshore San diego and the katy perry 100 gram colt sniper was the hot lure to throw.
Be sure to change out the treble to a heavier single 7691 mustad hook 6/0 or 7/0 with 200lb split ring. The fisherman that fished it hooked up 3 times but broke off due to using only 30lb line. The fish caught today were over 100lbs. Recommend 40lb - 60lb line.

ooh tempting.  The SD fleet is fishing the 277 off the east end of Catalina today.  Hopefully, they hang around and/or move into the ridge so alot of folks can access them.

i've been using 400 pound split rings that are braised shut.  had one open up one time.

Alan, are you brazing them closed with brazing rod or silver solder? Just curious to best method.

Drop those back on the slide on 40lb and let the fun begin!

That's the plan!!!! They're about 5 1/2 inches long and weight 2oz each so they'd sink nicely during the slide

The one with the pink should do it. Not sure why they like that pink in there, but its been a productive color.
