2 Custom Rasta Rods with Sabre graphite blanks

Fily must be stoked about that.  You can't go wrong with Sabre.  I would like that short handle with a belly plate.

Gary, I've been building with heat shrink over cord X-wrapped (sometimes over cork tape to build diameter). Grippiest think I've seen, slime or not. Built several gaffs like this.

The rods in the 1st pics have something similar, but I started to avoid using the X-criss cross pattern with a cord because the point where the 2 strings cross tends to be very bulky and after some months or years of use they get ugly deep scratches or torn there.
now I mostly do the same technique but with a single spiral cord and shrink tube, people seems to liked the same or even more.
