Well after getting Olympic Dolphin 621-LW back together I inadvertently got Super Lube on the blue plastic and it made it pretty, so I coated all the blue with it and wiped it off looks nice. The only problem with this reel is the line guide gets stuck to the far left, it appears to be a bad spot on the worm.

pretty sure almost nothing from Olympic Penn clones is interchangeable w/ genuine Penn parts
better chance of getting parts from donor Olympic...  double-check this:
I think some Olympic Dohzuki/DS were from around same time, and
they OEMed a bunch of red & black 107/207/307(?) for K-Mart & others
which may just be Dolphins w/ more Penn-like sideplates/rings

There's nothing wrong with Olympic reels.  They work and they last.  Over thirty-five years they made a million models branded both Olympic and a dozen or so trade names.  But, they are largely scoffed at as knock-offs.  Tommy knows all about the spinners but it's often difficult to find information about the conventionals.  There is supposedly a large stash of parts out there somewhere but you'd be hard pressed to find one.  There's got to be some history there.  Somebody should write a book.
