The glass of my car window likes to break free from the plastic part that connects it to the motor. It's caused by a slightly bent track, combined with people who aren't me not knowing how to baby it. The first time it happened to me it was clear it wasnt the first time in general because it was already secured with black silicone caulk. So thats what I used to repair it the past 3 times. But I'm sick of it failing, yet fixing the underlying issues is too cost prohibitive for an old car. So I wanna epoxy it instead, figuring it'll hold better. But to the best of my understanding epoxy and silicone don't play well. If they play at all. So how would I go about prepping the surfaces for epoxy? Or should I just not attempt?
Any machine is a smoke machine if you use it wrong enough.

I have the same problem with an old Ford.  Scrape it, sand it, wipe with acetone and use something thick like JB Weld.  The last time I did not replace the window crank arm so a passenger could not try to roll down the window.  Problem solved.
