Problem With Akios 656 CTM / Good Warranty Service

My son bot this reel 2 years ago.  The design for mounting the foot to the rod is terrible.  When I say "foot", I mean the 4 inch piece of metal that mounts inside reel seat.  It has the flimsiest of screws.  As expected, he got exactly one and one half fishing days out of it before the foot broke off. 

The reel was sidelined for several more trips to the Outer Banks.  I felt sorry for him for spending close to $200 buck of his hard earned.  So I called the guy he bought it from, and he fixed it for free, charging the cost of the new upgraded part and his labor to Akios.  Even though the reel was more than a year outside of the warranty, he took care of it.  The guy was Joe Moore in Avon, NC.  So hats off to Joe
