The spool has lots of side to side play even with bearing cranked all the way in. Do you need to add shims and where do you get the shims?

Whittierte on eBay sells shims for the bearings on Newells, 
Do what you can with that you have where you are

I ordered them!  Thanks. looks like bearing has no shim on non handle side.

You use a WHITE PLASTIC shim on the clicker side. The handle side just gets snug NOT TIGHT & ajust on the clicker side.
