That doesn't look good at all.  Good luck
It may not be very productive,
but it's sure going to be interesting!

Thanks Alan, interesting to hear, what your plan of attack is, I would wire buff it with a dremmel, then dribble some acetone & auto trans fluid 50/50 on it for a couple of days, then, maybe heat it, then try to turn it, cheers Don.

I'm amazed that they didn't complain about their line getting cut more often.
:D I talk with every part I send out and each reel I repair so that they perform at the top of their game. :D

;D   Well it is not mounted to a rod so , are the bolt really to long if they are bolts .  If studs then they are to long . That`s what i see ..

i replaced them with shorter stainless steel studs.  he was probably wondering how his line got so banged up.

It is obviously not a casting reel, the line would not have lasted more then 2 casts.

the original studs were plain steel, not stainless, so i just used vise grips and muscled them out.  the threads were mangled, so these original studs were tossed.

Sounds like something I would do/have done. Live and learn. Kinda looks like an Accurate reel.
