anti reverse problem

hey guys!
had a buddy the other day hand me an abu garcia silver max. he wants me to do a cleaning on it. before i started working on the reel i noticed he has no anti reverse. the model number is 17 01 17/35/BD it is a 6:2:1 gear ratio.

what should i bee looking at to fix the no anti reverse problem as i'd like to suprise him when i hand him back his reel

i'm guessing you have a bad anti-reverse roller bearing that needs replacing.  remember to order a sleeve as well.  when ever you replace one, you must replace the other.  alan

alan turned out the ir sleave was in reverse lol i got her squared away but im most definately going to file your comments away on this issue in case i ever need to do just that. thanks a bunch!
