Now I have a question about Saltigas.

I see that the Saltiga 30 and 40 each put out about 20# of drag.
The 40 is much heavier at 22 oz vs 17.
Aside from the obvious line capacity are they much different?
Is the 30 built with the same drag stack and gears? Or is it a much lighter application?

THANKS AGAIN

same side plates, just a wider spool.  that's the only difference......

  Thanks.
Im a little confused though because i see the drag stack for sale at Smoothdrag has two sets

1 set for the 15, 20 and 30

Another set for the 30T 40 and 50?

Is it safe to say aside from the line capacity difference the 30 and 40 are the same reel?

sorry, i so infrequently see the plain 30 that i forgot it even existed.  the plain 30 is just a wide spool 20,  the saltist 30T is a narrowed 40.  the 30T is a much beefier reel than the plain 30.  clear as mud, huh!  alan
