was browsing tournament cable site and came across wahoo tackle.
i changed a couple of things.
3 way tangle free swivel.
heavy split rings
plastic squid, doesnt matter what colour it is
as long as its pink.
5ft back to hook including single strand wire
have to add 2ft of 100lb mono to teaser=3ft
added reflective tape to the deep diver
also be taking some garfish(ballyhoo) just in case
should be interesting
we will be chasing some spaniards over easter 28th/29th.

bigw metal lures $4/$5
65gm/85gm. i modified
hook-split ring-crane swivel-split ring-pink squid-split ring-lure.
ball bearing snap-8"single stand wire-crane swivel.
no leader,tie braid directly to swivel.
we leave 3.45am tomorrow.
weather gods are kind to us 3.

Bad luck with the conditions, I'm convinced the weather laughs when we make plans. Like the idea of a deep diver teaser to get the spoon down, will you hang a hook on it as well in case the mackerel don't like pink?
I'm keen to hear how the rig goes when you get a chance to use it.

the rig in the pics was given a test run.
it worked fine @ 5 1/2 knots
a bit of tweaking and could get a bit more
the metal spoon really flashed and stayed submerged.
i lowered it also cast it,  didnt tangle
whether its any better than other lures i
have no idea.
i will fish it later on.

a town called exmouth.2 weeks.
plenty of game fish.
