Hi all Just a quick tip about image size

I have posted some tutorials and noticed that my images were wider than the veiwable area on the screen
I have noticed this in others too

I like doing things right so experimentend with size and found 800x600 to be optimum

Your images need to be taken at best resolution for sharpness focus ect

Once you have taken the image it can be resized shrunk to 800x600
I am not going to suggest programs. you may already have one and there are so many.
I found one that can resize the complete folder in no time called image resizer

There is no perceivable loss in quality and your post looks better and is easier to follow

Also for my existing posts I descovered that you can click on your image
(make sure you are logged to your Photobucket or similar)

it will open in Photobucket

click edit wait to load

then click resize wait to load

change to 800x600

then apply

then make sure you check the replace original

then click save

this is slow and tedious but it works
The images are not changed instantly on your post stuff to do with servers
I am still working on it.
10 a day
will get there in the end

also the upload to photobucket is exponentially expenetialy exponentoialy(heaps) faster

Happy posting Jon

First go to photobucket
next upload photo
now copy img file
paste into your post

post

You can worry about file size and rubbish latter when you get it

good luck Jon

The secret is to copy the img code to the white box where you are typing the text.  Do not use the photo box under "additional options" below the white box.  When you copy the img code to the white box click on the preview box below and see the photo.  Dominick
Leave the gun.  Take the cannolis.

There are two things I don't like about fishing.  Getting up early in the morning and boats.  The rest of it is fun.

Since I upload pics to Flickr......does anyone know how to work with that? I don't seem to see an .img code option there.

Thanks Dominick...heading out on a trip in morning but when I return I will give your advice a try.
