Penn Squall 12 reel clamp

Penn  Squall 12 !! Why does it come with a reel clamp if it wont fit   Unless I'm missing something

I just got a squall 15 with same problem. Loosen the studs and pull them off, you will notice a flat spot on the head. That must be facing the outside of the reel or the studs wont be far enough apart.
