HYDROPHOBIC SPRAY FOR REELS OR RODS?

HI all!

have u guys ever tried hydrophobic spray for your reels/rods?

tot of spraying some on the rod guides or the line rollers of reels.

x2 is this PTFE based? will try it on one of my rods for the Alan T. Ohana trip and will report back after. i used a Timberland PTFE   spray for my footwear during snowy/rainy NY days for this purpose...

as for its base im not too sure

but thats a whole host of such products available almost everywhere.

I remember i used to use it on my shoes and foot ware when there was snow  or when i was skiing.
