you can, as a general purpose grease, but i would not recommend that you use it on carbon fiber drag washers.

I'm not Alan. But I will say No. You have to use Drag Grease for Drag Washers. Only Cal's or a Teflon Based grease that is meant for drag washers. Shimano or Xtreme reel drag grease are other options.
Personally, I only use Penn Blue for the Reel and Cal's for the drags. I have tried other reel greases for the inside of the reel. Mobil 1 Synthetic and other Marine based Grease and after time, they seem to harden and lose their consistency. I know Alan prefers the Yamaha Blue Grease for the reels internals. Just Don't use it on the drags.
