I must be a boring guy because I love trolling.  To me trolling is like watching a baseball game.  It is relaxing with an underlying tension that something big is getting ready to explode.  When the fish hit it is all action whether it's your turn on the rod or clearing the lines. Very exciting.  I'm getting worked up thinking about it.  I'll be down in Cabo in June.  We need a salivating emoticon.  :D Dominick
Leave the gun.  Take the cannolis.

There are two things I don't like about fishing.  Getting up early in the morning and boats.  The rest of it is fun.

Trolling is 75% of my fishing. It used to be more but spending so much money on fuel was getting to me. We now deep drop after a couple of hours of trolling to bring home some meat. We have been very successful with Snowy Grouper, Golden Tilefish, and other deep sea fishes..

The last trolling on LR trip I was on was at Clarian and we rarely got 200 yards without a double or triple on wahoo.
Hi, my name is Lee and I have a fishing gear problem.

I have all of the answers, yup, no, maybe.

Catching fish is never boring.

I'm with the trollers half and the bait soakers the other half.

Trolling covers ground when you are not sure where the fish are. Especially covering water for everything from Albacore to Blue Marlin etc that are widely dispersed in an otherwise apparently featureless expanse of blue water.

But my roots are soaking for trout and mooching for salmon. The faintest twitch (that is usually only a squid/kingfish/sandab pecking at the bait) keeps me entertained for hours as a 25lb salmon pecks at the bait the same way. Mooching for Salmon and soaking Power Bait at the lake are pretty much the same, just a bigger lake lol.

Only when I know the area I am fishing over is dead do I get bored.  ;D

without boredom there wouldn't be any elation/excitement... ;) :) :D

Remember Carly Simon's song?

A-N-T-I-C-I-P-A-T-I-O-N...

Nothing boring about that!  ;D
