The fish on the right of the photo is about 5 lbs bigger than the one on the left. It's hard to tell because of the angle the fish was held.

Sam Adams, 6-yr old Striper fisherman, has become a bit of a celebrity at the NJ shore. He's my nephew's kid. He and the fish were almost exactly the same weight and height. The story is a few weeks old now, he's been all over the news.

Congratulations to Sam, he did a great job handling that fish.
You must be proud...good stuff!
I'm sure this one will make photo of the month when the boss gets back

Thanks for the love, guys! I've forwarded a screenshot of the page (and link) to Sam's father and grandparents. Sam's been fishing for 1/3 of his 6-year old life (the last third  ;D). They go to the Outer Banks every summer and surf fish for sharks. He's got more experience with a rod and reel than most any 6-yr old you can find. And he's fishing-crazed, like his grandfather.

my buddy Kaipo, myself and two others went out a few nights ago to do some tuna fishing off the southern point of the island.  some of the pics belong to Kaipo, but I stole them anyways.

Guess this answers the age old question:

"Is it animal, vegetable, or mineral?"

All three!
