Here's the full picture for those interested.


The marlin was not weighed because no scale was available at the Pearl Harbor marina where it was landed.  The weight was calculated from length (126 inches) and girth (80 inches) using this calculator.  The calculator estimated the fish's weight at 1008 lbs.  The fight to bring it boat side lasted 2 hours.  It was not sold whole; usually marlin that big don't bring much of a per pound price if sold whole but it was almost certainly cut up, smoked, (maybe sold) and eaten!
