Alright you bass guys.....help!
Getting back into the bass game after giving the bass a break for 30 years.
So I picked up a Quantum Energy PT. It has a ceramic drag washer. Grease it or no?
Cal's, Shimano, fish snot? Frog sweat?
Or, should I swap the ceramic out for a greased Carbontex/HT100 type?
Any help is appreciated!

The ceramic drag washers I've read about replace not the fibre washer, but the stainless steel washers, in a drag set. The theory being that they are less prone to changes in performance because of the way they handle heat.

You can't swap out the ceramics for carbon washers but if the washers in between the ceramics aren't carbon, there's probably some improvements still to get from the reel.

This is the great thing about this site, there is always someone with the right answer! Thanks Slinky T!
The link tells everything I was looking for and then some. What you say makes perfect sense.
I have not received the reel yet, but as soon as I do I will dive into it.
