Incredible for me!
usually we use camellia oil or mineral oil.
but after a little work the rust emerges as always.
It occurred to me to try CorrosionX for Gun and it seems outstanding!
We'll see over time. But for now it is superb product.

I hope this information can help someone for his instruments.

Leonard, do you use that hand plane for making your own breaking boards?
I'm a general contractor and have used Reel-X and TSI 301 on squeaky door hinges ;D
Both worked like a charm ;)

Forget about all the reasons why something may not work. You only need to find one good reason why it will.

Hi Sal,
I'm happy to read you!!!
Yes I use precision metal handplanes for building Wooden Hand Planes  :D :D :D
In my spare time I love to work with wood. My grandfather was a cabinetmaker, my father is a cabinetmaker ... I am nothing.  :-\ :-\ :-\
I try to keep in life this great art.  :P
With the planes I build planes  8)
I build special planes with wood, good for finishing and with special grips to measure.
As It to example:

builded with Vengè and American Hard White Maple (Rock Maple).
it fails to make a shave that have a thickness of only a 2/1000 of a millimeter.
I've putted CorrosioX also on my speciale Chisel! Big Product!!!

best regards
leonard

Sì, un falegname di grande talent.  Domenico
Leave the gun.  Take the cannolis.

There are two things I don't like about fishing.  Getting up early in the morning and boats.  The rest of it is fun.

Mr Grinnta you are not nothing!! very nice work
I am a carpenter and my tools get quite rough treatment.
I am sure the rust you get is from essential oils and acids, chemicals contained in the timbers. No mater how seasoned they are they are still there.
I wish I had the time to clean my tools everytime I used them.
sounds like when I do have the time I can depend on Corrosion x :) ;) ;D
Thanks for sharing

I think that CorrosionX is better than other oils just because it seems to me that it remains longer on the metal.
It seems as if it enters the metal structure.
For example my blades and my chisels tend to rust before the other irons with CorrosionX process seems more slower.
We will see  ;)
