Does anyone have any experience with the Battle 3000?
Hi, my name is Lee and I have a fishing gear problem.

I have all of the answers, yup, no, maybe.

I've been playing with a Conflict 4000 (the are virtually the same and the Conflict has most of the Battle 2 new features) the last few months as a freshwater/delta reel. Decent enough for the coin. what you thinking of using it for, Lee?

Mostly jigging for 20-35 pound albacore.

Hrm, they will do it (might need a bigger one, but I am sure you know your capacity needs) but not a first choice. I'd be more inclined to recommend an SSV or a Shimano Spheros/Stradic or Saragosa even.

None of them are gonna hold up to tuna forever. :(

As I am sure you are well aware, the degree that you really lift and then crank on the down under light load is gonna be the key to the internals holding up. They all have brilliant drags and good AR bearings...it's just the gear material on everyone of them that wears.
