Is anyone using a reel clamp (i.e. Tiburon, Shimano, Daiwa)? I'm building a 5500 C3 based "Frankenreel" and need a better option than hose clamps to mount it on my rods. I've tried to jimmy rig a clamp for a Calcutta 400...no luck   :(  Looking for other products/ ideas.

Almost all of my sticks are either butt cord or cork tape and I'm not in the mood to rewrap an old Roddy and Chocolate Sabre just to see if It's a good combination. BTW, I have more reels than rods so I do a lot of swapping depending on what I'm fishing for.

Thanks,
R

....Might be your solution.   I did not scope out some of the Carolina/Eastern Seaboard shops, who will possibly carry same as or different ones, for the surf casting gigs.  Note the demo reel is Abu. Cheers, KD.

Here's another style.       http://www.amazon.co.uk/Abu-Garcia-Grip-Sliding-Reel/dp/B004VE3HR4
According to the blurb, there's a size limitation for the sliding seat.

Great find Ken_D  :o and thanks for the video too! I checked Amazon USA, $50.

I didn't even know Penn made such an item. I like that it has a built in trigger. Looks like I get to buy a new gadget.

Thanks
