The model no.  is only on the bottom of the spool.  -265-

Ques is whether I can switch the handle to the other side.   Its right and I would like it on the left side.  there are only 2 screws on the face of the reel body

Yes, this reels handle is reversible from left to right.  Easy enough to do -- but if you need help, I can easily talk you through it in just a couple of minutes.

Plastic flex cap opposite handle side just pops off with a knife blade.

Very good reels -- and one of my personal favorites -- nice curved foot stem, metal spool, very small and well built, push button spool release -- I use one personally for backpacking, and always carry an extra spool with 4lb -- ready to go.  Perfect balance with an old Fenwick 5', 2 piece UL rod. 

This reel was introduced in December of 1961.

The later 110 spool is interchangeable with this reel, the 110N is not.
