Here are a couple of my friends from oregon, they found some nice eating size fish on day.

and below is a picture of one of my favorite rod/reel combos, I made the rod, and like those aftco lite roller guides, never had any problems with them, they dont add much noticable weight to the rods action or balance,

thanks and enjoy,gst..........

Catch and release!  Is good!  But what sours a lot of people is that the fish are wasted. it is real easy to give the fish away to people that dont fish. you gotta be a real a really bad fisherperson to not be able to feed your face and your families!!!!!! But when you see all the fish the charter fishermen and fish lodges take every day of the paying season, you gotta wonder why they dont have a quota, or cap on their commercial harvest. In the government ruling bodys they are flawwed with loop holes and some people take full advantage of it.
As a sports fisherman I want to have a sustainable future, as well as the charters, and longline halibut fishermen.  Its our life.  one of the reasons we have great fishing is lack of a nearby population of people.  I live here year around and I feel that those people that come to reape the fish and return home every season for a living is still questionable, but its still lawfull,  I use the byproducts of my fish for crab and shrimp bait, as well as fertilizer,  not much is wasted. When I fish with friends their intention is taking food back home, they are usually rewarded for their travel. and other hardships by knowing a really nice guy who likes to make them smile and enjoys it. thanks for the comments, gst.
