ambassaduer 6500c and 5500c

I bought a ambassaduer 6500c foot number is 730801 and a 5500c foot number is 731102 both gunmetal color,any body know anything about these reels and what would be good for cleaning the outsides of the reels? Was worried about hurting the finish .i got both reels for $40.00 and in decent shape so couldnt pass it up.
