Nice catches!  I love the variety of fish we get in the Mid-Atlantic.

You got that right dan. We a TRUELY blessed with a great variety here and also in most cases a short boat ride to get at them!
luck is the residue of design.

Leave the gun.  Take the cannolis.

There are two things I don't like about fishing.  Getting up early in the morning and boats.  The rest of it is fun.

So many reels, so little time.

loved the hudson canyon, unfortunately it was a 3, 3 1/2  boat ride from fire island inlet, willmington canyon a little longer,  when you reached the canyon after the ride, there was sometimes a traffic jam,  everyone wanted to fish certain numbers, when the tuna hit, it looked like you threw a small stick of dynamite in the water, what an explosion the fish made, great, miss those days, about 32 years ago

NICE !!! In the old days Stripers like that could be had here in the California Delta. Now some 40 plus pounders are caught by some. Most are quite a bit smaller. I still love to go for them with light tackle. My largest was 34.5 lbs. caught fly lining a live mudsucker.  Rod / 6.5' Ugly Stik , reel / Abu 6500 C , line 12 lb. Maxima...
I would rather be judged by 12 than carried by 6...
