I use mx6 with no issues. Don't mix this with other greases.

Side note on Aussies. Angela was out here for the Icast a few years ago and I took on a charter. She hooked and landed her first Albi (remember those) then did her duty and ate the heart as required. Bloody Mad if that is what you call it, very out spoken and a whole lot of fun.

i remember that.i suggested to her to make up a box of  inox products just for fishing.drag grease,general grease,bearing oil in a single pack.angela thought it was a good idea but wasnt sure about the old man.heard nothing since.maybe you should

Is there an application for ceramics (like the OS7) spool bearings that INOX can hold up to without a lag in bearing speed performance?

I am not sure but I know the mx5 with a high amount of Teflon will not harm ceramic while still providing the same protection as the mx3. I would give that a try. As I have said I myself have been using the mx8 grease but after reading some of the tutorials I am going to start using the oils for spool bearings.
