Hi everybody I'm a newbie to reel repair so please excuse my ignorance. I have a newer Jigmaster that I picked up at a garage sale new w/rod. I have a friend that has a Tiburon frame and Newell 5:1 gears and will flip em over to me no charge. My question is, will those parts work in a china made Penn 500?

yes, they should work fine.  also, you have a very generous friend.  you're looking at over $100 in upgrades.  alan
