I know this has probably been asked before, but forgive me I'm but a novice here. Is there any way to date Penn reels? I mean a specific date rather than  made from 1920 to 1950. Are there serial numbers  or certain changes that tell? Thanks, .....bob v

Get Michael Cacioppo's book -- "The Chronological History of Penn Reels" 1932 -- 1957.

No serial numbers on regular Penns -- but many telltale clues will get you within a year, or so.

Available on this site under Member Services, at the lowest price possible -- directly from the Author.
