I have been looking for 250lb braid but I don't need a lot like 100 yards have not been able to find any in that amount. Did not want to have to buy a full spool any ideas would be appreciated or even maybe something else than braid just want to tie about 15 or so for my jigs. thanks

Go ahead and get a small spool of Kevlar. It takes heat better than spectra if you ever want to shrink wrap it. Also easier to work with  tying knots.  www.capemaytackle.com/Cape_May_Tackle/Kevlar_Assist_Cord

How many feet do you need?  15 feet?

I think I have 250# braid that I was using.  I've used CM's method with a single hook.  If I have more than 1 hook on my jigs, I like to splice a loop so that I have a single strand going to the hook and I finish with the same method as in CM's diagrams.

PM me your address and Ill shoot it off to you if I can find it.

:D I talk with every part I send out and each reel I repair so that they perform at the top of their game. :D

x2 for the kevlar. I now use kevlar (hollow and solid) for all my toothy critter hook lengths - no more more steel trace!
