beach ,mahi

no photos,sry,i tried to recharge the wrong batteries
had 3 days fishing the beach,chasing whiting,good fun,
havent fished the beach for 20yrs,its only 15 minutes away
went out wide today chasing mahi,no wind,dead flat seas.
left the jetty at 4.30am, was fishing at 6am,skip and i
no boats at the ramp or  on the water,just us
after 30 odd miles,fish everywhere
acres of dollies,into the bait schools,bait and dollies were airborne
no camera,needless to say we got our quota pretty quick
tried a lot of lures,plastics,white jerk shads worked good
had a ball,left at 8 30 had a bottom bash got 3 breaksea cod(blackass) no dhufish, been  good week
thats it until monday up north

I am disappointed Wally. I love fishing the beach! I would have it no other way.
No boat to worry about, just jump in the kayak, paddle the bait out, come back and pop a cold one! ;D

There are two things I don't like about fishing.  Getting up early in the morning and boats.  The rest of it is fun.

I want to get into beach fishing but not a whole lot worth going after here in SoCal

I'm going to give it a try for Salmon from the beach.  My friend has tried it and told me that sometimes, right at sun rise, salmon will come close to the beach if the bait fish is there before heading into deeper water.  Hoping to toss some flat jigs out there with barbless hooks.
:D I talk with every part I send out and each reel I repair so that they perform at the top of their game. :D
