How does one remove a broken screw from a frame post in a 113H?  I have removed larger screws from motors and such using easy outs, but nothing this small. This is on a reel i just bought. It also has some friction in free spool on the handle only. The spool turns freely and quietly, but the handle  seems to be dragging on something. May be that's how it's designed? I bought it cheap to rebuild, but never had a 113H before. It seems to be either the pinion and pinion yoke or the inner tension spring dragging on the side plate.

So, I just need to order a new post then?

You can try sll the usual methods to remove it, and/or drill retap.  If you fail, no biggie, get another post.

a torch, then freeze-off, then see if you can back out the stud.  if that doesn't work, send me a pm and i'll send out a new one.
send me an email at alantani@yahoo.com for questions!
