oil is too much oil on spool bearings? I have been using corrosion x applied with a fine needle dropper.
I put two drops per bearing and spin them on a dremel at lowest rpm. I have had a couple of Curados
come back with the customer complaining of noise. The only thing I could think of was that it could
be was the centrifugal brakes. So, I added some silicone to the ends. He has not come back. I guess
I am okay. But, back to my question, "How much is too much?"

In my limited experience, even if you over oil after a little use the excess flys out of the bearings. I wouldn't drown the Bering but 2-3 drops is usually good.

Oil will be displaced, grease will not.

I have all of the answers, yup, no, maybe.

Depending on the viscosity of the oil also. I find that some greases also seem to fling out to the outer extremities of the bearings races.

If you mix / pack 1/2 that bearing on both sides with grease and put some oil in there the grease thins and this helps keep the grease around the balls.
