Like the title says,  I have a Daiwa 900h that has a broken screw.  I called Daiwa...they are back ordered until the end of July!  Nice lady said she would ship it free when it comes in.

I sure would like to finish this reel and put it away. It's been upgraded with Tani parts /handle.

I need part #B15-9101 (set plate screw B). It is the one with threads on the end only.   (What Penn calls a bridge screw I think).

I never thought a screw would be the thing holding me up.  PM if you can help.  Thanks,

Ran

Wow, you always amaze me.  I didn't even think of ebay.  $5 bucks is a bit steep eh?

Done anyway.  I did a search using the part # and got nothing.   ???

Hi Randy --

Here is one out of a 910 Rock Cod Special -- I am waiting for custom parts for it -- so it will not be ready to put back together for a few months anyway.

So if you wanted it at no charge -- just send it back -- or the new one on back order from Daiwa -- whenever it arrives.

Same part# as the 900h.

No rush --

Best,

Fred

These do not need much more to be tanks, Randy.

But Adam is producing a line of SS parts for these to include the drop-in insert drag stack, double dogs, power handles, and more.

He just needed some parts for testing and fitting.

Since you have the big Daiwa there, how about sharing your opinion on the drive train?

Which component would you think to see SS first?  The first thing I think of is the gear itself.  But is the gear sleeve more primary since the gear is so stout?

I know with the countless reels you have examined, you know by instinct which is the chicken or the egg.

Appreciate your thoughts on these, as it is my new favorite.  Only reel I ever opened and went 'wow'.

With Adams' help we may be going 'whoa'   :o

I absolutely love my Sealine reels (50H, 450H, 600H, 900H). I've caught more fish on the 50 H than any of my other reels.  I put Smooth Drag smoothies in them back in about 1990 or so.

I rounded the sleeve on my 600H last summer. I would go for a SS sleeve first. It already has one of Bryan's drag sets and a kolecar grip. If you stay below a max of 25-30 lbs of drag, it might not need anything else except for maybe a double dog.  The gears are pretty robust, and with the aluminum frame and side plates there isn't going to be the added stress on the components that comes from flexing under load.

I'm not going to replace the sleeve in my 600 until I find out if SS sleeves go into production.
