dog spring on penn 6/0 114h

    Has anyone heard of using 120# mono inplace of the dog spring on the 114h? An old grouper fisherman told me about this. Said the only modification necessary was to widen the groove with a dremmel tool. Said this fixed problems with corrision and breakage.
