Well, my father and I did a bit of inshore fishing today. We used all artificial lures and didn't catch a single thing. Had a decent sized trout nibble my lure, but he didn't bite.

Maybe we'll try live bait next time...

Ron, Not actually named Ron,
Where are you fishing? ::)
There is nothing like lying flat on your back on the deck, alone except for the helmsman aft at the wheel, silence except for the lapping of the sea against the side of the ship. At that time you can be equal to Ulysses and brother to him.

Haven't had time to fish since, among other things I've been fixing reels. So far I've redone a 9 Level Wind, combined 3 Squidders to make one good one, cleaned up a Super Mariner for my father, and have a bunch more reels disassembled.

Fixing reels is about as much fun as actually fishing to me!  ;D

Try the trout early or late with live shrimp floating freely. Mid day work on reels.

Yep early morning and late afternoon till dark. I have very good luck with the Mirrordine lure in the mullet color. They also make a "heavydine" Mirrordine that cast's much further.
