New to forum.

Hi Everybody!
My name is Nico and I am from Cape Town, South Africa. I came across the forum a while back during a search for info on a particular reel, and felt right at home.

I have a big of a thing for old penn reels. The first reels I remember are penn 285 delmar, and 500 jigmaster reels. That was what my dad fished with, and still fishes with.  My grandfather was a 49 man. One he got in the 50's and then again in the 80's. Both are still going.

I've collected a few reels over the years. Very few of them are in sparkling new condition, but almost all of them have a special story. The penn booklets from the reel boxes are to blame for the collecting bug. So many pretty reels. One day I would like to 'fill' the book.

I've got feeling that this forum is not going to be good for my addiction.
