I took apart my CTE-400 to change the left side plate, and the Click Switch Cam (part #BTN2721) and Click Switch Spring (part #BTN2723) popped out, and I'm not too sure how it goes back together. Can someone post a tutorial on how to reassemble it?  Also, how does the Cam Backing Plate (part #BTN2688) sit? Is it necessary?

crud.....

the click switch cam and spring are tricky to get back into position.  i don't have one of these reels open to take a photo of. same for the cam backing plate.  if anyone has a reel open, please take a photo and post it.  these only fit in one way.
send me an email at alantani@yahoo.com for questions!

I was told there is a Shimano rep on the site. What is his name? I'll pm him and ask him for help.

I posted a reply on BD that should help you.

If not then Bantam1 (Dan Thorburn) in the Shimano forum on BDOutdoors should be able to help.
