I decided to do up a couple deckhand rods. One was just a handle conversion (http://alantani.com/index.php?topic=15390)  and the other was a  complete build.   I got all my parts from Jon.  After discussing what I wanted to accomplish, he made specific suggestions on components, and provided great advice on doing the build.  Finished my first rod and starting on the second.   

Jon is now my go-to source for rod building supplies.  Great personalized service and knowledgable advice.
