Your 'Master Mariner' is post 1955 (numbered parts), and likely late 1950s vintage(based on hand let counterweight).

I'd like to say thanks to all that have helped me out I'm going to attempted to open it up and start the restoration I'll keep you all up to date I'm sure I'll have questions to ask if you guy's don't mind once again thank you for your support and for the schematics

Likely, on that reel -- since it appears to be in excellent condition, Allen --

All you will need would be a complete disassemble, cleaning, new CF Cal's greased drags, SS drag washers, under gear delrin washer, grease, oil and line -- that would be my guess.

Good experience.

I also have a 49 and 149 on my bench -- to go through for a Charter operation in Mexico, today.  Good condition -- but not as nice as yours.

149 is the lightest in terms of operation of the Mariner Series.

The 49 is stronger, the 349 is a lot stronger.

There are many variations of these reels.

OK here is an update reel was pretty stiff on turning opened it up found a bunch of old line wrapped around the gears removed it all seems to be good put it back together run's great now that's said I'm looking for a R.S.Plate part #1-149 found mine has a crack in it around the handle
