Accurate 197 Boss Magnum

I just purchased used 197 boss magnum. The reel is in great condition and seems to be in great working order, however the free school doesn't spin the way I would like. My question is are the bearings that come from the factory sealed and do they have removable shields, or are they those type of bearings that you can't remove the shield without damaging the bearing? Any help on this subject would be appreciated.
