Alan,
I was hoping I could contribute to your website, I have taken a few reels apart myself...
Started at age 14 with my first reel ( a Squidder 140) and now at age 49 and lots of reels later and extensive "field testing" I am eagerly to share my findings and my experiences in my favorite hobby of improving fishing reels from stock.
