Splicing 200 lb braid to 200lb Bullbuster mono - help

I grew up using the green braided nylon you are talking about handline fishing (both pleasure and commercial) in the Florida Keys. It is tough stuff. I still have a couple handlines spooled with it. It is hard to find now days though.

That's the stuff Conchy.  I can still find the one pound spools for making deckhand handles but do not see the big Ashaway spools that could fill a 16/0.  Ashaway now makes tennis racket string and medical sutures.

it looks like that green braided   line is hollow braided. If   so you can  do  a regular   splice  just like on spectra  and tie spool to spool till you have enough for a reel fill
