Penn 710 side plate

Bought this greeny 710 side plate on ebay  for a project, the plate doesn't fit, it's too big, it as this number in the back 45-710 R, can't find any reference for it. Was there a difference between the 710 and 710z?

I have noticed that also on some rebuilds. I have 2 green side plates that don't fit right.

It's the letter R that intrigues me. I didn't bother to try it for the fit when I got it , went ahead and polished it, realizing now that it wont fit  ::)

Do you need a black 710/712 side plate? I may have one.

Thanks keith, found one on ebay(45-710 metal), pretty hard to find, most being plastic or the 45-710 R
