Hold up. The books that were published decades after Mr Hinze's death were supposedly owned by him? Makes perfect sense on eBay.

I think it was the son, Herbert Henze not Otto?

I just grabbed this paperback version of one of the books on Ebay for $51.02 shipped.
This will keep me busy for a while as I search for hardcover versions of all three volumes.
I feel lucky to have found it.

The exact 3 book hardcover set on E-Bay was a gift from Mike Cacioppo to Herbert Otto Henze.

There were only 100 of each hardcover book published, and each of these books are #10, and signed by Mike.

Mike's wife of 50 years passed on in February, and his life is transitioning and changing.  He could use our prayers.

He is a top quality person who has shared so much knowledge with us freely —- and is a very good friend of mine and many others around the globe.

These books are considered the Bible's of Penn by many experts.

Looks like someone purchased these. If I had the coin, I would have.
Provenance and scarcity.
Congrats to the buyer.

Would love to know if they sold for the asking price or not? And who actually bought them? And I'll keep an eye in the penn reel collectors group on FB. A lot of the guys like to show that stuff off lol.

If if was on eBay you can look up sold listings to find some info. It will say if it sold for full ask or if they accepted an offer. It won't show what the offer was though
